BoW Merit Index: Week 11

Things got weird this week. After seeing my top 4 matching the committee’s top 4, I felt confident that my index would be valid the rest of the way. This week, however, it looks a little wonky. Some Week 12 byes will clean it up, but for now there’s a bit of noise at the top. Oregon’s margin over Baylor is as wide as the gap between number 2 and number 14, which speaks both to the lead Oregon has and to how close the race is between every other contender. The Pac12 South appears to be approaching SEC West levels of depth, as their champion could make for an interesting matchup with Oregon in December.
